		"Suzanne" is a song written by Canadian poet and musician Leonard Cohen, based on his poem "Suzanne Takes You Down".
		Leonard Cohen specified, notably in a BBC interview, that the song was about encountering Suzanne Verdal, the wife of sculptor Armand Vaillancourt, in a Montréal setting.
		Suzanne Verdal now lives in Venice Beach, California; she and Cohen have been in occasional contact.

		As a twelve year old, stopping to appreciate the beauty and historical significance of Savannah to the South wasnât particularly high on my priority list of fun things to do.
