	Elf
		Elves are usually considered not to be hostile to humans but are not to be trifled with, often looking down at the human race as inferior, as we look at pets and other animals.
		In some mythologies there are also dark elves (svartalfer in Nordic mythology, and popularized by TSR as drow), which are wicked and evil.
		Elves are enemies of the goblins and are generally said to have a longstanding quarrel with the dwarves.

		The seats are padded folding chairs and the front of the class has a table rather than a lectern.
		We also got a short lecture on how the Svartalfer of Kosovo took on the Aes and the Van in a rather foolish war and how they blamed their disastrous losses on the Blue Lodge and the Azure Lios Alfar to cover up the true facts.

		(FWIW, modern Swedish - especially modern Swedish spoken by nerds - basically use svartalf as a synonym for English "goblin".
		I often see spurious claims about "the Norse believed this, the Norse believed that", and the fact is we know very little for certain.

	Wizards Community - Known World dwarves (3e)
		I really think they have captured the feel of the dwarves of Asgard making magic artifacts for the norse gods.
		I gave me something to consider: a few months back we had a discussion about the planes of existence mentioned in the Northern Reaches gaz and IIRC people seemed to agree that Svartalfer were half-fiend elves and High Elves were half-celestial elves.
		But we never settled on what Modrigswerg dwarves were.
