		The area of the Municipality of Sveta Nedjelja (or, rather, Sveta Nedelja, as it is spelled in the Gazetteer of the Kingdoms of Dalmatia, Croatia and Slavonia, published in 1866) was defined by the Local Self-Government Act of 30 December 1992.
		The municipality measures 65 square kilometres and comprises 14 villages: Bestovje, Breyje, Jagnjić Dol, Kalinovica, Kerestinec, Mala Gorica, Novaki, Orešje, Rakitje, Srebrnjak, Strmec, Sveta Nedjelja, Svetonedjeljski Breg, and Žitarka.
		Five cultural and artistic societies are active in the municipality of Sveta Nedjelja: KUD “Antun Mihanović” in Bestovje, KUD “Zvonko Lenard-Pikić” in Rakitje, KUD “Mala Gorica” in Mala Gorica, KUD “Sveta Nedjelja” in Sveta Nedjelja, KUD “Strmec” in Strmec.
