		Svetlogorsk (Russian: Светлогорск) (before 1945 known by its German name, Rauschen) is a town on the coast of the Baltic Sea in Russia's Kaliningrad Oblast.

		A Sambian fishermen settlement named Ruse-moter (translated as 'region of cellars') at the place of Svetlogorsk was first mentioned in 1258.

		Kaliningrad (Ko:nigsberg being the name it had when part of East Prussia in Germany) is in an enclave which is part of the Russian republic but which borders Poland and Lithuania (you have to go through Lithuania and Byelorussia, now called Belarus, to reach the rest of the Russian republic).
