Swansea council is the only Welsh local authority to be shortlisted for the Local Government IT Excellence Awards 2006, for its use of an electronic care record system, PARIS, to achieve unified assessment process (UAP) in social services.
Swansea's social services team was nominated for a project which involved putting together a new electronic care record system, linking social service and health organisations.
Jack Straw, Swansea council social services and housing director, told Ping Wales: “All information about service needs and delivery is held on one secure record unique to the individual receiving the service.

Which is quite fitting really because coming from Swansea STID is riddled with them after knobbing all those Jack burds.
One of the reasons is coz they used to congregate in the Swansea Jack pub on the front until Cardiff fans 'took' it, they used to have the whole crowd in there (as you can imagine it was very small)
