Swidwin is a town in West Pomerania which we visited on our way to the ferry to Sweden in Swinoujscie.
The first records of Swidwin date back to the 12th century, when it was already a fortified settlement situated along the trade route leading to the Baltic Sea at Kolobrzeg and Bialogard.

In the chronicles of Swidwin, there is a note about a dispute over a cow taken from a peasant residing in the Bialogard district but, in fact, the battle was the result of ongoing unrest between Pomerania and Brandenburg.

Swidwin is a small town surrounded by even smaller villages.
We are staying at a technical high school in swidwin and also teaching at junior highs and primary schools in villages around Swidwin.
I got to be in Swidwin with 6 other interns from India, Bangladesh, Mexico, Kenya, Armania and Domenica republic which was very interestng in itself and I learn a lot about those countries and have to say some of those ppl have become like best friends to me which has been very special.

The infamous dispute between Bialogard and Swidwin, which is known as “The Battle for a Cow” was behind the battles fought between Brandenburg and the dukes of Western Pomerania.
In 1724, Bialogard became the seat of one of the ten districts of the Rejencja of Szczecin and following the reorganization of the Prussian State, since 1815, the town became part of the Rejencja of Koszalin.
In 1825, the first post office was established in the town, and since 1858 trains started going between Koszalin, Bialogard and Swidwin, and later between Swidwin and Stargard,then in 1878 to Szczecinek.
The first fortified castle at Swidwin was built some time after 1280.
The exact time is not known, nor is the name of the founder as there are two pretenders to this title - the Brandenburg margrave Albrecht III and the Mecklenburg duke Przybyslaw IV, of Slavic origin.
Swidwin's main monument, built probably in XIV cent, rebuilt so many times that it didn’t keep its gothic style.

Track 4, "Swidwin", continues the format with rapid drums, symphonic sounds and emotional wailing guitars as the English vocals enter, this is quite a dramatic track
Track 5, the 16:22 "Die Bettwurst pt.2", is a superb example of Prog at its best and really sums up the whole album, no missing links here just excellent prog with complex music and time changes which always returns to tuneful guitar breaks.
A bigger problem is lack of services in the small towns or even some of the bigger ones.
I bought snack food - bread, cheese, and a yogurt drink, in a small town on the way to Swidwin, and stopped again after Swidwin at a service sation in Redlo to get some Hoop Cola, and again to snack at the start of the Barwice township.
That last stop was in the middle of a a big forest and, sitting there cross legged on the ground, eating bread and cheese and drinking cola, was one of the high points of the day.
During "Swidwin" he sounds a bit like John Wetton (as on Red).
I don't like the processed vocals, though if I knew their context, my reaction might be different.
