Swing Revival - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Swing Revival was cultural phenomenon of the 1990s and early 2000s which featured renewed popular interest in music in the style of the swing period of the 1930s and 1940s.
Jump blues utilized the large horn sections of the earlier jazz-oriented swing bands while incorporating the feel and musical structure of the blues, which was fast becoming a sophisticated urban phenonemon in the years immediately ahead of rockabilly and rock and roll.
