The yellow hand rails visible on the right of the photograph indicate the position of a very short section of platform - retained in case of a need to evacuate passengers (through the drivers cab).
The brick enclosure with the ivy growing on it, to the left of the road, surrounds the skylight that still illuminates the platform area, as seen in the photos above.

It was originally built around 1840 next to the old toll gate which once took money from travellers wishing to use the Finchley Road.
The present building is post-war, but its exterior has a frilly wood Swiss look to it.
