		The Swordmasters train all their lives with swords and are able to wield them much better than their regular Elven kin, but to the neglect of the study of other weapons.
		Swordmasters have also neglected their training in the Magical arts, and so can cast fewer spells than a regular Elf, but because of their hard training are typically tougher.

		Followers of Swordmaster since their obscure debut EP _Wraths of Time_ have come to expect a unique intensity and melody from their material, which has since evolved from ultra-fast fl metal to retro-thrash in the space of just two releases.
		To say that tracks like "Deathrider 2000" and "Necronaut Psychout" are stunningly original would be an overstatement, but it's undeniable that Swordmaster do possess a certain character to call their own.
		All in all, _Deathraider_ is a welcome reassurance for those disappointed by the mediocrity of _Postmortem Tales_, and serves to remind us that Swordmaster is possibly the most intense, and certainly still one of the best bands in Sweden today.

		Unlike labelmates Inferno or Bewitched who cater to a more traditional heavy metal sound, Swordmaster's thrash/speed metal conjure up moments of classic thrash bands long forgotten.
		Tearing through songs like "Crush to Death", "Clans of Death", and the title track, the production is impeccable due to the skills of King Diamond's Andy La Rocque at the soundboard.
