The South Sydney Rabbitohs have made it a clean sweep in its first trial match for season 2004, getting the better of the North Sydney Bears and the Northern Blues in Jersey Flegg, Premier League and First Grade in Nelson Bay today (Saturday).
The Rabbitohs were victorious in First Grade by a combined scoreline of 54 points to 12, defeating the North Sydney Bears Premier League side 36 - nil in the first 40 minutes, then defeating local Nelson Bay First Grade side the Northern Blues 18 - 12 in the second half.
In the Jersey Flegg trial, the Rabbitohs took on the North Sydney Bears Jersey Flegg side in scorching Central Coast heat.
