And, after his description in October of the Adelaide Festival as the best festival in Australia - "the jewel in the crown" - Sheehy is keen to dismiss suggestions that Sydney's annual event is second best.
Sydney physical theatre troupe Legs On the Wall will fly above outdoor audiences again, this time at the Museum of Sydney forecourt, in Eora Crossing a work commissioned by Sydney Festival and directed by Wesley Enoch.

Sydney Festival is Australia's largest and most attended annual cultural event running for three weeks every January since it was first held in 1976.

Has anyone at the festival sought to develop a relationship with musicians of this stature in order to ensure their participation at some point in the future, a policy no doubt effectively employed to obtain the services of important performers in other disciplines.
The great advantage a festival director has over other promoters is that people, at least in part, buy tickets to festival events wanting to be surprised; they are willing to experiment.
