Sylvia Sweeney, herself a former Olympic athlete, came a small step closer to achieving her Olympic dream as organizer of the second annual Blueprints Arts and Entertainment festival held at the Harbourfront Centre on Labour Day weekend.
Sweeney also considered the event an appetizer for what may be possible on a grander scale.
For now though, Sweeney is content to get the PR ball rolling in the form of the Labour Day festival and enjoy her role in successfully gathering artists from disparate backgrounds under one roof.

During her 10 years in the red and white, Sweeney was behind some of Canada’s greatest successes internationally including representing the country at the 1976 Olympics in Montreal and guiding the national team to a fourth-place finish at the 1984 Summer Games.
