	Straight Dope Staff Report: What do the four symbols on Led Zeppelin's 4th album mean?
		John Paul Jones' symbol (circle over three interlocking ovals) was found in a book of runes and purportedly represents a person who is both confident and competent.
		Plant says the symbol he created was drawn from sacred symbols of the ancient Mu civilization, a fantastical place that supposedly existed until 14,000 years ago.
		The most recent fandom theory is that it symbolizes a near-death or Tantric sex experience to unify the worlds of the living and the dead, and thus to reveal the secrets of the universe.

		He appeared on many albums, and now in the year 2002 he has a new project on INSIDE OUT MUSIC, the German quality label with whom he got in touch not that long ago and decided to start working on a new project.
		SYMBOLS was the former band of ANGRA vocalist Eduardo Falaschi.
		I think a next album need to bring some change for this band, because this CD definitely shows that they have potential, but for now there are too many songs that are more like so and so (such as “Third millenium”, “Time can’t wait” and “Empty words”).

	History - On Prince
		Released in April of 1978, Prince's debut album For You afforded him mild success across America, although it was greeted with more enthusiasm locally where it stood as an inspiration for musicians who felt trapped in the city of Minneapolis.
		With his previous soundtrack albums doing so well it was little surprise when the first single from the movie, Batdance shot up the US charts to the prestigious number 1 position.
		Symbols is released by Prince and the New Power Generation, peaking at Number 1 in the UK in October 1992, and providing a successful single with My Name Is Prince.

		Around the time the album ''Naïve'' was released, a member of the press assumed that KMFDM followed a pattern of naming their albums and certain songs with a single five-letter word.
		The band, fans, and record executives alike simply referred to the album as ''Symbols'' out of convenience, although some listeners — in an attempt to keep the title within the five letter "mold" — referred to the album as either ''Icons'' or ''Curse'', alluding to the symbols used in comics to indicate profanity.

		This album is not meant to be life-changing, best-selling, or all that sensational.

	REVIEW: Noxious Emotion - "Elements"
		Since I first spun their Symbols album released by ADSR Musicwerks of Seattle back in 1998, and later went after Count Zero which was released a year previous, I've been searching out as much of this sound as I can, like a junky looking for his next fix.
		The tracks are laid out so that the element symbols spell out Noxious Emotion, and the songs are named for those elements that had to be listed in order to do that (they had to make up X).
		While Symbols is still my favorite release from this group of data blips that call themselves Noxious Emotion, Elements still upholds NE's bid for EBM dominance.

		in album view (only) the thumbnails don't all appear (just 2 albums instead of 20, or the positioning is outside of the layout and more such terrible things...

		This self-titled effort (also known as Symbols, like Led Zeppelin's fourth album) was released during the "next big thing" hype of electronica, and finds the band peeling away some of its heavy guitars in favor of a more dance-oriented sound (which is where the band really started, anyway).
