Death Metal is a form of music evolved from thrash metal in the 1980s.
Death Metal is catergorized by its gutteral growling vocals, thickened guitar tones with sometimes heavy distortion properties, and blast beats which can range from a normal to very fast speed.
The vocals and drumming are the pure tell-all of a death metal band, the gutteral bellows are began in the stomach yet shaped with the throat to raise and lower the pitch of the music in general, while the drumming is blast beat and dependant (mainly) upon the bass drums.

It's hard to argue with this, since yes, they are from Latvia, they do indeed play technical death metal, and frankly there aren't a lot of other Latvian death metal bands at the moment to contend for the title of "finest".
Anytime the phrase "technical death metal" is mentioned bands such as Cynic and Atheist are invariably mentioned, and sure enough those two bands are good reference points when describing Synthinity, though arguably the arrangements here aren't quite as mature as those by the aformentioned influences.

A Guide to the Progressive Rock Genres
Symphonic rock is characterized, usually, by extended song structures or suites; instrumental, symphonic orchestration (whether actually utilized or approximated); and a tendency to draw in romantic period classical motifs as well as smaller portions of jazz, rock, and folk.
While metal has evolved from its late 60s origins into a wide variety of forms, the genre known as "stoner" rock, one term for a riff worship inspired closely by Black Sabbath, goes back to the 70s and recreates the vibes, often with long droning jams based on heavy guitar/bass riffs and psychedelic moods.
Gothic metal generally comes in various strains, but the music tends to the romantic and symphonic, often with a lead female vocalist or a combination of melodic female vocals and male death vocals.

Goth metal (also called Gothic metal) is a crossover between doom metal, heavy metal music and goth music itself.
Originally, Gothic metal evolved from doom metal, where bands like Celtic Frost (Switzerland) and some years later Paradise Lost (U.K.) and Theatre of Tragedy (Norway) added female vocals and melodic keyboards to heavy doom riffs and death grunts.
In general, Gothic metal lyrics focus on a variety of subjects: religion and God, heaven and hell, romance, horror, depression, bereavement, emptyness, and death.

To me, NOVEMBERS DOOM can’t be compared with another doom metal acts, the band’s music has a lot of personality and creativity, and the morbid deep riffs created by Larry Roberts and Vito Marchese are singular in the metal’s history, it’s unique and very intense, as the emotive vocals of the legendary Paul Kuhr.
With rampaging riffs and symphonic keyboards that supplement the clean vocals on the chorus quite nicely, the band also throws in some gentle acoustic moments, which add some interesting variety here that reminded me of some of the more progressive moments on the most recent releases from Dark Tranquility, Opeth, and Bjorknagar.
On "Dark World Burden", the band mixes intense death metal with the melodic gothic style, as the symphonic keyboards swirl around the relentless riffs and powerful rhythms while Kuhr's vocals go from evil growls to mysterious and chilling clean passages effortlessly.

One aspect of Dead Silent Slumber that may offend metal purists is its use of keyboards, which intertwine hauntingly grandiose melodies with buzzsaw guitar riffs in order to create a sound that would not be out of place in a funeral parlor occupied by a particularly rowdy assortment of your favourite musically inclined demonic characters.

Call it Discovery Channel metal if you must, but Nile runs circles around the majority of death metal acts that churn out cookie-cutter records crammed with juvenile gore-splattered lyrics and incomprehensible blastbeats.
Plus, like Black Seeds, the CD booklet details the weight of mastermind/guitarist, and unofficial Egyptologist Karl Sanders, which means the band's work captures the nastiness and pitch-fl themes of death metal, while at the same time being a work of blood-soaked historical fiction inspired by H.P.
