		Symphony X is an American progressive metal band from New Jersey founded in 1994 by guitarist Michael Romeo.
		Musically Symphony X is similar although heavier than most other progressive metal bands to which they are commonly compared to: Dream Theater, Fates Warning and Pain of Salvation.
		Two Symphony X songs from the tour are featured on the Gigantour DVD and CD-set, released in September 2006.

		Romeo's solos are some of the of best of Symphony X's ouvre on this album, though perhaps fall a little short of the next album, "The Damnation Game".
		Symphony X seem to have achieved the impossible in releasing a masterpiece with every single album they have released, (with the possible exception of their 2002 "The Odyssey").
		Another couple of classic tracks from Symphony X are 'Absynth and Rue' and 'The Raging Season'.

		This was the first Symphony X piece I listened to and is still the finest.
		This was the first Symphony X album that I ever listened to, and although I was initially disappointed by the fairly uninspirational chorus of Evolution, (the first track on the album), I heard a lot of amazing music in that three score and ten minutes or so.
		If Symphony X are to be remembered for anything in the distant future it will probably be for V, though some individual songs form ALL of the albums before V should warrant being remembered long into the future.
