Syntel Inc., an information technology outsourcing firm, on Wednesday posted a 24 percent jump in third-quarter net income that topped Wall Street expectations, and lifted its full-year forecast for a third straight quarter.
Syntel finished the quarter with cash and short term investments of $75.8 million after the payout of $51 million for the special one-time dividend of $1.25 per share.
Syntel's global headcount increased to 7,506 workers in the third quarter compared with 6,669 at the end of the second quarter.
