		In het oosten van het land kan de reiziger sommige steden tegenwoordig echter met zowel het spoorbedrijf Syntus als met de NS bereiken.
		Het gaat daarbij om de trajecten van Arnhem naar Twente, van Arnhem naar Tiel en van Arnhem naar Geldermalsen.
		Hanteerde NS voor de berekening van het treintarief vorig jaar nog de kortste route (van Syntus), sindsdien wordt het langere en dus duurdere NS-traject aangehouden.

		Despite these ongoing problems, the province of Overijssel has agreed to extend its contract with Connexxion until 2007, it does however include a clause, stipulating that a minimum of 95% service level is provided at all times.
		Apparently relations between these two have hit an all time low, as Syntus - using light rail between Arnhem, Winterswijk and Zutphen - is complaining about the poor condition of the track and the increasing amount of 'interference'.

		Having completed the Syntus routes, the rush-hour was spent at Utrecht, where a large number of units and locomotive hauled trains were seen, as well as a good proportion of the Connexxion Sneltrams.
