Syreeta spent a lot of time in the UK in the last 15 years.
She recorded some songs that were released in the UK as part of a series of compilations on the Motorcity label.

Syreeta's version of "I Love Every Little Thing About You" is an interesting contrast - chunky synths rather than mostly acoustic - although her version isn't as moving.

Wright married Stevie Wonder on September 14, 1970, and although they were divorced just 18 months later, their professional collaboration as songwriters spawned a series of hits, including "If You Really Love Me," "Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I'm Yours)" and The Spinners' "It's a Shame."
Syreeta spent a lot of time in the United Kingdom in the last 15 years.

Born Rita Wright, in Pittsburgh, she began singing at the age of four, when, she recalled, "I would sing 'The Lord's Prayer' and my mother would hold her breath until I made the high notes." A year later, her father, conscripted into the US army, was killed in the Korean war.
Syreeta was also in demand as a performer on other artists' albums, recording with George Harrison, Michael Bolton, Quincy Jones and others.
Syreeta's British popularity was confirmed when former northern soul producer Ian Levine recorded her, and other Motown veterans, for his Motorcity label in the late 1980s.

Stevie does a guess vocal on this one and even though Syreeta's voice is nice, when paired with the relaxed and professional voice of Stevie, even his 2 or 3 lines in the song overshadow her.
Syreeta uses another trick with the lyrics by using the words "she and "her in the first part of the song (trying to distance herself from the pain), then using "me" and "I" in the latter part (finally accepting her fate).
Syreeta seems to be singing about a future love that will be by her side.
