  TCPA enabled Open Source platforms
For a general purpose platform to be converted to a TP, it requires that TCPA roots of trust be embedded in the platform. These roots of trust are the components which enable the platform to be trusted by local and remote entities.
TCPA describes that, a protected capability is one whose correct operation is essential for the operation of the platform to be trusted and a shielded location is an area in which data is protected against interference and snooping.
TCPA is capable of sealing data to a specific platform configuration and to protect the data from being processed into an environment that the challenger does not trust.

The truth is that the TCPA software and hardware would leave gaping, massive holes in the majority of our nation's information infrastructure- holes that would be purposely placed, so that the TCPA could use them to control your computer and the data placed on the computer.
Please be polite, and tell them that you oppose the TCPA and will not use the product until it stops inserting backdoors into the software and hardware that harm the user's computing experience, creates the potential for corporate and governmental abuse of the program, and creates the potential for worldwide security breaches.

The TCPA is the much heralded law which purports to protect residents from junk calls.
The TCPA states that, if you advise a telemarketer to 'Put me on their do-not-call list', they may not legally solicit you again for ten years.
The fact that they called twice 'in violation' within one year will not necessarily overcome their 'affirmative defense' since the defense is not available until they are sued, and they can't be sued (for multiple violations of a do-not-call request) until they call you twice within twelve months.

We are all aware of the criticisms that the TCPA has received
The privacy aspects of the TCPA implement a “trusted third party” system where the user presents their identity and receives an anonymous credential from an anonymity certification authority (the trusted third party), see the above technical discussion.
The second problem is that if the “trusted third party” ever colludes with a true name certification authority (or more likely companies along with their registration information) then it is easy to attach the user’s real identity with their anonymous identities by matching public keys.
I hope that the TCPA technical committee listens to these suggestions and/or others, and takes action to improve the specification so that we can have the good, but not the bad.
