		TOTP2 hosted an exclusive show by Robbie Williams in 2000
		Top Of The Pops was the BBC's flagship music programme for 42 years, but it was axed last June after viewing figures dropped.
		Clip show TOTP2 continued to be shown, with occasional live performances showcasing new music.

		They have shown it on TOTP2 in full at least once (in the days when they used to show four performances from a year in a block) along with Hollies / Rattles etc. - all from that same show.
		If they fall back on the same ol' clips yet again though, the public will also get sick of it and turn off (and isn't it insulting to the general public anyway to just assume they can be palmed off with tired material?!?).
		Not to mention the fact that TOTP2 seems to have very poor researchers working on it; that's the only reason I can find for the wealth of pop material that sits in the archive remaining unseen (it's not hard to locate).

	SPARKS :: View topic - sparks on totp2?
		They have featured on TOTP2 a few times...but with something like UK Gold,you'd need a schedule to know exactly when any Sparks appearances will be shown(don't know if UK-G have any play listings available to the general public though.)
		TOTP2 is fairly unlikely to be repeated on the BBC again.
		TOTP2 is how I got into Sparks too.

		Top of the Pops showed new releases and all the up-to-date music, whereas Top of the Pops 2 (TOTP2) showed archive footage, in other words, music dating right back to before the show first started.
		The show also has tributes, where a whole show is dedicated to one artist or a band.
		TOTP2 was meant to have its last showing on Christmas Eve 2005, but a new series appeared on BBC Two in September 2006.

		My fave totp2 moment was an acoustic version of fade to grey by visage...bloody brilliant!!
		(But I was a regular viewer of TOTP2 until they pulled the plug on it.) It feels like the end of 42 years of pop history.

		As of September 30th, 8 weeks after the final TOTP aired, TOTP2 returns after an absence of 2 years on BBC2.
		I've already started the outcry, same footage/clips used again as seen in the 10 year history of TOTP2.
		Tonights show was dire rubbish of the highest order you can make your own TOTP2 show by watching some of the fantastic performances on youtube before BBC take them down.

		He was very vocal in championing Suedehead at the time, and has often made very positive comments about Morrissey on TOTP2.

		We were there when you were recording your 4 songs for TOTP2 on Thursday night, we thought you were rocking, cant wait to see you on the TV with the same performance.
		TOTP2 is normally for repeated performances but they also do artist specials (especially when their is promotion going on) From my understanding she sung 3 songs from Bare and Little Bird - tranmission will be probably in June at some point on BBC2.
		This has been confirmed for transmission on 11/06/03 @ 18.20 on BBC2 in the UK.

		Although unlike the newsletter and the website you'll have to pay for the digital edition - just like you pay for the magazine.
		Its subject matter will of course be nothing like TOTP2 (which is coming back this month), TOTP2 being different from the original Top Of The Pops TV show (which isn't still going) because the original Top Of The Pops TV show was based on new studio performances.
		This might all seem a bit complicated but the BBC have been so successful at managing the TOTP brand in the last few years that we are sure it will all be fine.
