TPLF Hintsa establishes the authority of the congress, the central committee (CC), the Audit Commission, provides guarantee for fundamental rights of its members and sets forth the TPLF's operating procedures.
The Audit Commission elected by the 4th Congress of the TPLF should be responsible for the modalities of organization of the 5th Congress of the TPLF after the Meles group reverses their unconstitutional actions.
With increasing speed the TPLF and the people of Tigray are being stripped of their hard earned sovereign rights by Meles and his group, compelled to accept one man-rule, and submit to forms of governance that are, when all is said and done, of an essentially both despotic and colonialist character.

 The TPLF Ethiopia: Where Next?
The TPLF regime is one of the top ten violators in the world and the number one in Africa in suppressing the freedom of expression.
And today it appears that the TPLF regime is oblivious about it although it is confirmed that 8% of the total population of the country is infected by HIV virus and that every third person of residents of the capital city carries the virus.
As soon as the TPLF came to power, the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) were mobilized to pump billions of dollars into the regime's coffer for "economic stabilization" and "structural adjustment".

The aim of the TPLF according to the manifesto was to establish a democratic republic of Tigray.
Once the non-CC members of the TPLF were deprived of their rights to express their opinion, Meles concentrated himself on the internal struggle for power within the leadership of the TPLF.

It was made clear that TPLF was fighting because it believes “the people of Ethiopia have not been given any chance of defending their interest in a peaceful and democratic manner”.
TPLF describes how a transitional government would be put in place to ease into a “fully democratic state”.
TPLF believes that government should control all foreign trade and the “commanding heights of the economy”, however every peasant “must have the right to the free use of his produce”.

The dilemma of the Tigrians By Siraj Kahsay
While the TPLF leadership pretended to have declared freedom for the nation, it crafted a separate standard for Tigrians: a standard that secures complete submission of Tigrians by wrapping them with another net of bondage; this time, instituted by their sons and daughters who they saw an emblem of justice and democracy in.
TPLF has instituted this bondage in such a way that it appears to be a matter of pure economic progress while it essentially is a twisted kind of political repression.
TPLF is well aware that such broadcast obviously arouses suspicion in the minds of the ordinary Tigrians who think that given the opportunity the Non-Tigrians particularly the Amharas could resort to violence, even ethnic cleansing.

Camouflage and Makeup cannot cover up the TPLF’s Real Character   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-02)
One of the typical characteristics of the TPLF regime is its pretentious, nature posturing and claiming excellence in its political dealings and outlooks as well as in the regime’s propaganda philosophy.
Regardless of the background and dimensions of this ungrateful conduct, the TPLF leaders amply deserve the certificate of imitating and stealing other people’s ideas and thoughts and then allege the originality of their imitated conduct and stolen ideas, thus claiming being civilized and progressive.
Surely, the TPLF is living in a state of psychological conflict because of the contradiction between what it is raising in the form of slogans to appear with a civilized mask, and what it is practicing on the ground - tribalism and narrow ethnic and racist policies.

The removal of the TPLF cadre leaders who were real power brokers behind the shadowy regional “states” will leave the satellite parties (PDOs) with time and reason to think twice about their actions.

Furthermore, the TPLF intervened in the Eritrean conflict at a time when significant Eritrean forces were still fighting on the government side (example - the Eritrean anti-guerrilla forces, and the Kunama militia).
The TPLF may have set Eritrea's borders in official documents specifying them as those of the federation era, but there are no detailed laws pertaining specifically to the Assab Region.

The TPLF regime, which at first seemed like a party that abandoned the Tigray minority agenda and adopted a national one, was unable to hide its fear and contempt for the Amhara and Oromo ethnic groups, and soon started talking about the dangers of Amhara Chauvinism and Oromo Narrow Nationalism.
According to the TPLF, those who were from Northern Shoa in particular, and the people of Amhara in general, but who didn’t take part in the invasion nor gained anything from it were all labeled as the chauvinist group.
Similarly, the TPLF regime can’t be said to be working only in the best interests of the people of Tigray, but just like its predecessors, it is an agent of the ruling groups in its surrounding and those that stand for it.

The TPLF regime has indeed taught Eritrea a lesson, a lesson all Eritreans were fully aware of right from the start: To destroy Eritrea & starve its population to death.
I understand, albeit with enormous disbelief, the TPLF (Ethiopian) ambassador to the USA when he says "only a few lives of Ethiopian soldiers have been lost" Surely he was not trying to deny a fact that is broadcast all over the world.
But who is to say the desperate TPLF government won’t drag hundreds of thousands more Ethiopians in to more deadly war in a desperate attempt to capture the "Promised Land." Despite all my prayers and hopes to the contrary, I have no doubt in my mind that the TPLF regime will do so.

... The Rise of an Eritrean clique from the Womb of TPLF: By Abiy Araia
It looks at last the TPLF members are realizing that the man who thought was their leader was their worst enemy who did everything to destroy not only Tigray or TPLF, but also our country Ethiopia, who is now tied at the stake to be a pariah nation surrounded by tiny, and yet hostile nations.
It was a design that most TPLF fighters helped change their attitude and trust Meles as their "Ethiopian" leader because Eritrea's Shaebia has depicted him as Eritrea's enemy in through a statement the Eritrean rebel group issued in "support" of the avowedly anti-Eritrean TPLF leaders Aregawi Berhe and Giday Zerazion.
Thereafter, TPLF fighters and the people who live in TPLF-controlled areas of northern Ethiopia lived chanting one slogan like a national anthem: "MLLT trenches are unassailable!" The MLLT "anthem" was echoed down the years until Meles ascended to power in May 1991, and all of a sudden, MLLT disappeared like a rush.

His insights may be particularly valuable because as a founding member of the TPLF leadership and a past military leader he can penetrate the culture of secrecy that remains a defining element of the Ethiopian government and governance.
Later, in the early days of the struggle, self-determination was interpreted by an ultra-nationalist group within the emerging TPLF to mean secession from the Ethiopian nation-state, with the aim of establishing an independent republic of Tigray, as declared in the TPLF manifesto of 1976.
The TPLF is certainly an improvement over the Dergue but that is very far from enough to justify their rule at this late date.

Needless to say again, at that moment, the TPLF was under the Svengali-like control of the EPLF, therefore it perpetrated all its actions against Eritreans before the eyes, or under the coaching of the members of EPLF.
But after receding for some years, the TPLF made a comeback in the mid-eighties, but at this time, it seemed to find a reason to wander around Tigray, also in what appeared to be a new sense of undertaking to placate Eritreans, it appeared to champion the Eritrean cause for total independence.

The Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) was formed in early 1975 by members of a previous organization, the Tigray Liberation Organization that came under the influence of the Eritrean People’s Liberation Front (EPLF).
The TPLF’s goals included the overthrow of the Dergue regime of Mengistu Haile Mariam and the establishment of a more democratic, inclusive government for Ethiopia.
A split developed within the TPLF in the early 1990’s, based on debates between “moderate” and “hard-line” members of the group.
