  trn-3.4.1(1)
Starting Trn If no newsgroups are specified, all the newsgroups which have unread news will be presented to the user in the order in which they occur in the.newsrc file.
Trn operates on four levels: the newsgroup-selection level, the thread selector, the article-reading level, and the paging level.
trn will attempt to determine if an existing file is a mailbox or a normal file, and save the article in the same format.

 Introductory Guide to trn
trn is a news reader: a program that lets you read and respond to messages that have been organized into newsgroups.
Using trn, you can select which newsgroups you want to read, organize the articles in a coherent fashion, read and respond to them, and filter out articles that you don't want to read.
trn organizes all the articles into "threads." Each thread is an original article, followed by all the responses to it, followed by the responses to the responses, and so on.

Within trn, you can use the command 'U' to get to a screen where you can mark read articles as "unread." You should note, however, that news articles only hang around on our server for a limited time before they are deleted.
