TV Nation was a satirical newsmagazine television series written, directed and hosted by Michael Moore that was broadcast in the United States on NBC in the summer of 1994, FOX in the summer of 1995, and in the UK by the BBC.
Adventures In A TV Nation, a book about the series written by Moore and the show's producer, Kathleen Glynn, was published in 1998.
Moore followed TV Nation with another television series, The Awful Truth (TV show), which was funded by the British TV company, Channel 4.

TV Nation" was a Summer Replacement Series on NBC in the mid '90s which featured Mike Moore, (the commentator that made the documentary "Roger and Me" about the effect of GM plant closings in Flint, MI.) TV Nation was a more down to earth "60 Minutes".
For example, in Michael Moore's second tv show, the Awful Truth (pretty much the same concept as TV Nation) he did a feature where he showed up at the offices of an HMO that was refusing to cover a life-saving pancreas transplant for a client.
TV Nation never jumped, and it was one of the best things I've seen in years.

The fact that Michael Moore actually got "TV Nation" on the air is amazing in itself, and "Adventures in a TV Nation" documents the short-lived history of one of the best series to air on television, on two different networks.
I am a huge fan of TV nation and assumed this would be the book for me. I thought this book would be a sort of "making of".
"Adventures in a TV Nation" is a great companion piece to show.
