 Singing the Psalms
The essential point of any chant is that it should approach speech rhythm as closely as possible, and this seems to be the biggest block for those who are accustomed to thinking of singing as being dictated by the metrical rhythms of poetry: ta-dah ta-dah ta-dah ta-dah, or occasionally ta-dah ta-da-dah ta-da-dah.
Anglican chant, as the term implies, is unique to the Anglican Church, and is basically an adaptation of plainchant to more "modern" idioms.
These are in a style called simplified Anglican chant, that is, with only one note at each of the cadences instead of three or five, as in standard Anglican chant.

Talib Saidbaev (PRON: Ta-leeb Side-bye-yev) is advisor to the Head Mufti of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Russia.
Russia's latest census shows there are fourteen-point-five million Muslims in the country, but analysts say the numbers may run as high as twenty million.
