Topic: Taal (film)

Tanmay's TAAL Page  - About the film
Taal is the eternal triangle love story involving Mansi (Aishwarya Rai), Manav (Akshaye Khanna) and Vikrant (Anil Kapoor).
Though she looks pained and tragic in most of the film, she does a good job of a woman who is very protective of her father and one who doesn't think twice before rejecting a lover who has insulted her father.
Taal will again enhance her reputation as an actress while in no way detracting from her image as a traffic-stopper.

Taal se taal mila is melody and nature's (Chamba's) beauty at it's best.
The title track of "TAAL" picturised in scenic Chamba, is visually appetising as a plain-looking AISHWARYA RAI, playing Mansi in the film, dances in the rain with her sisters while a besotted AKSHAYE KHANNA look on.
An important element of this film is definitely its music....In that sense, the score, as the movie, tends to grow in complexity with each song.

While it is certainly a singular honour for a film made essentially for the Indian masses, the very fact that the mainstream Hindi blockbuster is in a festival of “overlooked” films is proof enough that Bollywood cinema is still a fringe phenomenon in the global scheme of things.

The Hindu Business Line : In-film branding is the in thing
Secondly, while brand communication can be brought in to a film, it should be used in a selective and judicious manner and there should not be an overdose of the brand and its communication; otherwise, it would become boring, moving to a point of ridicule and seem forced.
My fourth recommendation is that while dividing the choice of film for finalising in-film branding, one should check the track record of the film producer and the director as well as the story line, and choose films which have a greater probability of being a hit rather than being a flop.
In-film branding is a great way of enhancing the image of the brand, and the strategies discussed here could go a long way to increase the effectiveness of this weapon.
