  Tabari
Born at Amol in Tabaristan the mountainous district of Persia, situated alongside the Capsian sea, Tabari is said to have learnt Qur'an by heart at the age of seven.
Yaqut states that Tabari was contemplating to write two books --- a history and a commentary of the Holy Quran of 30 thousand leaves (60 thousand pages) each, but his friends dissuaded him that human life would not be sufficient to undertake as well as go through such gigantic works.
Tabari brought to his work the scrupulousness and indefatigable longwindedness of the theologian, the accuracy and love of order of the scholarly and the insight into political, justice affairs of the practising lawyer politician.

Abu Jafar Muhammad ibn Jarir at-Tabari
At-Tabari was born in the city of Amul, in Tabaristan, a mountainous region lying south of the Caspian Sea in the year 839 A.C. Amul had been built on the banks of a river, and the nearest port was a place called Humm, which was at the mouth of the river.
At-Tabari accepted his challenge and in the ensuing contest was able to narrate completely from memory the long list of narrators to every text of tradition quoted by ibn Hamdhan.
At-Tabari was now an old man. His latest work on the History of Islam had taken a toll on his health and it began to fail gradually.

 Software
The TABARI (Text Analysis By Augmented Replacement Instructions) program is the most recent event coding program that the KEDS project has produced.
KEDS uses the same sparse-parsing principles as TABARI and provides for somewhat greater flexibility (features of KEDS that were used only rarely were not included in TABARI), but as the "Classic" environment is phased out of the Apple product line, it will become increasingly difficult to use.
These programs help aggregate, filter, and display the data that are produced after KEDS or TABARI has coded source text.

The historical evaluation of this volume therefore depends to a large extent on our assessment of the nature of Sayf's reports and al- Tabari's use of them, and it is to these problems that we must turn our attention.
His history is not a historical work in the manner of modern writing, for his main purpose seems to have been to record all the information in his possession without necessarily expressing an opinion on its value.

Tabari does not leave the matter there, however, but provides another report of the incident, which stated that A ishah's decision not to return to Madina was changed by the news of Ali's rapidly approaching army.
Taken in its entirety, Tabari presents a measured appraisal of an eminent companion of the Prophet who was perhaps misled by those around her, but who did not emerge morally unscathed in the fitnah.
Tabari's variant reports on this matter contributed to the perception of confusion in the city when Ali became caliph, including a Sayf report that presented the ubiquitous rabble as an aggravating cause (4).

Tabari didn't edit Ishaq to make Muhammad look better, but he only referred to the earlier work when it conflicted with his own collection of oral testimony or Hadith.
If the Hadith compilations of Ishaq, Tabari, Bukhari, and Muslim are true, their prophet was the most evil man who ever lived - a bloodthirsty pirate, a ruthless terrorist, and a sexual pervert.
When that didn’t fly, they protested saying, Tabari isn’t "approved." Then they claimed that it was just a "history book and not a collection of Hadith." Some even said that it contained "unauthorized material." While that’s not true, it created confusion and served their interests.

What you should know about Tabari?
Ignorance is weakness and self-inflicted ignorance is suicide, which is often the apparent case with Muslims that enables Christian missionaries to stupefy and/or deceive Muslims using some names with questionable references.
Tabarî is the name that is used most frequently by Christian missionaries as so-called Muslim source, but the quote is always from the biased, distorted English translation of Tabari’s work done by Orientalist[s] and/or Christian zealot[s].
While dealing and/or refuting Christian missionaries, Muslims must refuse to accept the so-called Tabarî and Ibn Ishaq’s quotes and/or reference since it is always from the biased English translation done by a non-Muslim (mainly Orientalist or a zealot Christian missionary).
