	My First Trip to Japan
		We were lucky to find extra large lockers right at the top of the escalators of the Yokosuka line tracks as we entered the main hall at Tokyo station, and were able to fit a suitcase and 2 bags inside one locker.
		There was a long queue to leave when each train came along, but eventually we got back to Sendai and sat at one of the many eating places under the station until it was time to part again.
		It was unusual from the last time we were at Yamagata, in the middle of winter, with snow piled everywhere.

		On December 5, 1951, FEAF HQ authorized the Far East Air Logistic Force, Japan, to establish "Project Kennel," which called for the construction of 50 kennels, an obstacle course, and other facilities at Showa Air Station located several miles from Tachikawa Air Base near the Japanese village of Showa.
		Showa Air Station was the site of a former WW-II Japanese training school used by Zero fighters; and towards the end of the war, Kamikaze pilots were trained there......not that they needed that much training on how to crash a plane!
		Showa was the USAF very first Dog School, and it was just plain luck, that it happened to be started during the Korean War.

	My First Trip to Japan
		Up early to get to Yamagata station for the first of three days sightseeing alone, as my wife had several days of business to finalise after permanently moving to Australia!
		After that we drove off to Yamagata using a toll road that cost a fortune, went through a long tunnel and also another unexpected fortune as we were pulled over by the police for speeding.
		In Yamagata when we were there, there was a local election, and cars were driving around the streets all day with loudspeakers blaring advertising the various candidates.
