Chief Vaimaca-Perú (a famous lancer from Artigas's forces), Senaqué, a quack, Tacuabé, a young warrior (well-known as a horse-breaker) and his woman Guyunusa, both parents of a girl are the Charruas portrayed in this picture.
This card is one of a thirty-card set, which we believe was designed by Tacuabé, a Charrua Chief who - it is said - had a special gift for drawing.
He used a dried hair-less coat of an animal for that purpose, and probably took the original idea from the Spanish cards - in those day, Spanish and Indian shared these lands- to create this set whose motives are quite simple.
