Taiho Jutsu - Shuyokan Martial Arts Center - Costa Mesa, California, U.S.A. Simply defined, Taiho Jutsu means "control and restraining" techniques.
Taiho Jutsu was created for the Japenese police force in 1947 and includes the study of "toshu" (unarmed), "keibo" (baton), "seijo" (handcuffing) and "hikitate-oyobi" (forcing a prisoner to their feet).
Shuyokan Taiho Jutsu is based upon techinques from Yoshinkai Aikido which is a system taught to the Tokyo Riot Police.

When his rival tried to shift his left hand inside, Taiho launched a drive to the edge and took the match by yorikiri or frontal force out.
That victory gave Taiho his 24th top division title and fifth with a perfect 15-0 record.
