Nagani is very conveniently located just a few meters away from Takadanobaba station in a not too elegant basement room which reminds me of an airport waiting room, but it's good, and definitely deserves a mention.
Where it is: get out of Takadanobaba JR station, cross the street, turn right and take the first small alley running along the tracks.

 Takadanobaba
Heard there were things of interest around this station, but my information must've been out-of-date, couldn't find them.
After watching some television, a bit of some samurai drama, and then transfixed, an episode of the new Gundam series; rode the Yamanote line up to Takadanobaba.
Although operational details were obscure (since I couldn't read most of the on-screen messages) it was apparent that points were awarded for accuracy of platform stopping position.

Commuters on Takadanobaba station believe Astroboy's message is as relevant as ever.
Thousands of commuters are crowding onto trains, humming along to the music being pumped through the stationÂ’s loudspeakers, and reminiscing about their childhoods.
The lab where Astroboy was made was located in Takadanobaba, and so this area of Tokyo is particularly excited.

 Bar Hopping in Baba
With Waseda University, Gakushuin and a multitude of specialty colleges in the vicinity, Takadanobaba is quite simply a "college town." It is reminiscent of what Harajuku was 20 years ago, but a bit livelier with over 900,000 people passing through its station every day.
Two train stations past Shinjuku on the Yamanote Line lies what may very likely be Tokyo's second most active night spot behind Roppongi but minus the higher prices, street touts and alien-like characters roaming around with menacing looks about them.

 Japan Through a Beer Glass
After a brief moment of panic, I had enough wits about me to find I still had barely enough time to make the last train home if I made a transfer via a station called Takadanobaba.
When I got to the gates, the man who had jumped out of the train was bowing low before a crowd of severe-looking station staff, repeating the mantra, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry." Considering the stiff penalties enacted for suicide attempts involving trains, this man was probably looking at a pretty nasty fine.
I climbed into the local and transferred to the main Tokaido Line at Tokyo Station for the one-hour passage home to Ofuna Station in Kamakura.

It was raining so heavily when I got off the train at the station that I had to take a taxi the 500m to our house.
Didn't suffer any damage here, but half of the sucker attached hooks holding up utensils in our kitchen came clattering down when the typhoon arrived.
A queue for the tiniest tattiest noodle shop I've even seen I think.

 Outsider 7.7 Shot Bar - ultimatepubguide.com
Located near JR Takadanobaba station on the Yamanote Line, Outsider 7.7 is a tiny Shot Bar that shares a building with the Gate One blues and jazz club - the bar is on the 1st floor, the club is in the basement.
The barÂ’s counter takes up almost half of Outsider 7.7Â’s total floor area, and the room is overcrowded when all ten barstools are occupied.
During the warmer months the external area is rammed full of punters, laughing and shouting abuse at the passing narrowboats, whose occupants struggle with the complexity of working a lock in full view of a pub-load of beered-up louts"

 Tokyo A Go-Go
Takadanobaba is slightly larger than Mejiro, owing mainly to the large private university located there.
Or in my case walk out the wrong exit from the station and end up somewhere completely different thinking you are still in Ebisu.
