Takamatsu was born in the 23rd year of Meiji (10th March 1887), in Akashi, Hyogo province.
Takamatsu used to go to sleep at 9pm, and his cat, a Siamese called "Jiro", given to him by Ichiro Kode, via Hatsumi Masaaki would sleep with him.
