Take It From Here - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Take It From Here (often referred to as TIFH, pronounced "tife") was a British radio comedy programme broadcast by the BBC between 1948 and 1960.
Through TIFH Muir and Norden reinvented British post-war radio comedy ;— amongst other influences, it was one of the first shows with a significant segment consisting of parody of film and book styles, later used extensively in programmes such as Round the Horne and many television programmes.
The result was Take It From Here, or TIFH (pronounced — and sometimes even humorously spelt — "TIFE"), and the start of one of the most enduring comedy writing partnerships.

 TAKE IT FROM HERE
The first edition of Take It From Here hit the airwaves on the 23rd March 1948, Edwards 28th birthday, and went completely un-noticed, very much like the remainder of the series, despite its six month run.
Like a lot of shows, TIFH was split generally into three sections, the opening patter, a sketch on a theme or a recent news item, and then a film parody, although there was crossover of topics, especially topical references throughout.
The 7th season was then billed as the 'completely new' TIFH, and started on the 12th November 1953, with a reassurance from Edwards that the show would be back to the tried and tested the next week.

In the interest of streamlined world government, we've developed this simple test, which should take no more than a few minutes to fill out, to get you quickly on to your next foreign adventure, should it meet all reasonable criteria for peace and international justice.
The test may be taken as many times as desired, as long as the billion-dollar test fee is paid each time (proceeds are split evenly between the office of the UN Secretary General, and the French government, to compensate them for the trouble and expense of designing the test).
