If you’re retiring, taking a position with a new employer or leaving your job for any other reason, you’re faced with a major financial decision: what to do with the money in your retirement plan.
Some investors are choosing to take a lump-sum distribution anyway, reasoning that paying taxes now rather than later can benefit them in the long run.
Now, let’s assume that instead of taking a lump-sum distribution you keep the $100,000 in your existing plan, roll it into a rollover IRA or roll it into your new employer’s retirement plan.

Ask the Expert: Take the money and run? - Apr. 27, 2005
It's a vexing question for many people at or near retirement who are pulling money from their company plans: take their lumps now or take the money in the form of monthly income payments, typically for the rest of their lives.
Taking an annuity, on the other hand, typically relives you of the investing question by converting your retirement sum into a fixed monthly payment.
If that's the case, you can roll over the money into an IRA rollover and then decide how much to invest on your own and how much to peel into a payout annuity (or an immediate annuity as it's also known), which you can buy from any number of insurers.

It is no coincidence that regulatory reform and an attempt to block stronger clean air health standards are on the Senate's agenda, thanks to the massive dollars doled out by polluter PACs to their Senate allies.
Americans have the right to know how their senators voted on previous attempts to gut environmental laws, and how much money they received from companies that would benefit from those votes.
It is critical that the public and the media understand the connection between these votes and polluter PAC dollars before the Senate votes on these issues again.

He developed some frustration with the way his writing was being used and decided to make films himself, with the result being TAKE THE MONEY AND RUN.
In common with his other early works (such as BANANAS and SLEEPER) the plotting is very loose, as the narrative exists mostly as a skeleton on which to hang a series of gags and jokes.
Although TAKE THE MONEY AND RUN seems a bit simplistic, it still retains its comedic effect and offers an early view of Woody Allen's later filmmaking style.

An early Woody Allen comedy, Take the Money and Run is anarchic, awash with one-liners and perhaps not quite as good as people would wish it be.
Ultimately, Take the Money and Run is unsatisfying to audiences brought up on Allen's later works.
The chaos, satire and slapstick help of course, so overall perhaps Take the Money and Run is worth catching as a rare curiosity of Allen's formative years.
