Three cellas arranged in a row fronted by an oblong verandah forms the core of this basadi even though it is covered in front by later structures.

One of the things that I’ve been yearning to click besides the sunrise is pictures of morning dew.
There were quite a few bamboo plants at the resort where we were staying about a week ago (Jala Dhama near Talakad).
I discovered, that for some reasons, bamboo leaves hold on to droplets of dew (or rather the droplets stick to bamboo leaves, how does it matter, gets you the same result ;-)) for periods longer than other plants.

We spent considerable amount of time at the second waterfall and around three in the afternoon decided to make a move towards a place called Talakad.
The road to Talakad was in terrible shape and there was nothing much to see there but a temple which has been excavated from sand.
Legend has it that once river Kaveri used to flow here but because of some "shaap", it had to leave its course leaving behind the fine sand.
