 | | Memorial High School, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, was founded in 1962 to honor all Tulsa Public School System students and teachers who served in uniform during World War I, World War II, and the Korean war. |
 | | As such, the MVA's mission includes educating our youth to the importance of the sacrifices of our veterans in all wars and conflicts, by providing historical artifacts, documents, books, tapes, films and other "hands on" items that will compliment their education regarding their heritage, US History, and the importance of serving our country. |
 | | This statue will stand six feet tall, mounted on a 2-3' tall base, and backed by a semi-circular wall of bricks with the names of students and faculty of the school who served in uniform, both in war and peacetime, active and reserve. |
