AACM is holding its annual talent show on January 30, 2004 at 8 pm at the Texas Union Ballroom.
The Talent Show, which has been a long-standing tradition of AACM for over 10 years, is targeted towards UT students and is open to the public and free of charge.
Since Talent Show is still free admission, one of the ways AACM is going to fundraise is by asking its members to pray and fast a meal and contribute the money saved to IJM.

Randy Shannon, sponsor of the MHS Drama Club, the group staging the talent show as a fund-raiser, said many of the bands featured in the 2004 Battle of the Bands featured students who graduated in May of that year and there were concerns not enough bands would sign up to make a separate event feasible.
In the talent show portion of the evening, six vocalists and a pair or comedy skits are slated.
The talent show and Battle of the Bands is the MHS Drama Club's lone fund-raiser of the year.

My school is having a talent show and a lot of people think that I should ride for it.
I can't remember anyone ever having a unicycle show, so I don't know what kind of stuff I should do, but the year before I came to the school, there were a couple of people on unicycles that just rode around for the talent show.
In the show i am doing trails moves (jumping ontop of things ect...), freestyle moves (mounts and trick riding), and unicycle sports(basketball and hockey).

 CACTUS holds third annual talent show - MSCTC News
CACTUS held its third annual talent show on April 14 in the Waage Theater on the Fergus Falls campus of MSCTC.
According to Paul, she did it because "...It's my last year at Fergus and I wanted to show people some on my heritage." Paul is African-American and wanted to do the dance to show her friends and fellow students a part of her culture and her roots.
The talent show was well attended and the contestants all performed their acts for their fellow students and staff members in the audience.

On March 1, 2001, I attended Homestead's talent show held at the Cubberley Community Center in Palo Alto.
I remember being in a talent show in elementary school; back then, it was more like show and tell with my fellow classmates, where we brought our stuffed animals and toys for all to see.
I arrived near the tail end of the Talent Show, but I was still able to see Randy and his co-workers do an excellent rendition of, what I figure was either an N'Sync or Backstreet Boys music video parody.

I think I liked it more than any of the Replacements shows or the 14 Songs show I saw because I am impressed with the betwixt-and-between-ness, the both/and-ness of life and career that PW seems to be trying to express and cope with.
After the show I talked to some PW fans who were up front and they said at one point Paul got hit in the chest with a bottle.
All the kids who were at that show with their grunge "uniform" on and their blue hair should realize that all they do is conform to a media created image of what the "alternative scene" is supposed to be...it's not about pierced appendages and stupid haircuts, it's about songs.
