The TV Files originated from a series of message board postings by Jason Warren as "Jase's TV Files." This has become a regular ongoing feature and evolved into a full scale "Classic Genre TV Files" on the Scifilm web site.
The TV Files were originally inspired by Dave Sindelar's excellent Movie of the Day articles, which can be viewed in the archive on site called Fantastic Movie Musings and Ramblings.
I was very pleased to see that the TV Files have become a popular addition to the site and with help from terrific contributors in Dr. Mality, Chadzilla, and Andrew Kidd have grown into something truly special.

Tales From the Crypt: Ritual is offered in non-anamorphic widescreen (1.85:1) and generally looks OK, nothing spectacular, but certainly not a horrible presentation, either.

Old horror radio shows inspired Bill and his crew to create ‘Haunt of Fear,’ ‘Vault of Horror,’; ‘Crime Suspense Stories’ and ‘Crypt of Terror,’ which became the legendary ‘Tales from the Crypt.’ The key selling point would be what they all called the “just dessert twists,” which were the twisted outcomes to deserving people.
It wasn’t until 1972 when ‘Tales from the Crypt’ was finally resurrected from the grave- in movie form.
