Baguio took John Pasculado of Atleta-Talisay City, Negros Occidental to school with a clinical 5-0 victory to advance into the next round in the 38kg category, while Pancito escaped with a 3-2 victory over Homer Descutido also of Atleta-Talisay in the 41kg match.

BACOLOD CITY -- The National Bureau of Investigation has started its investigation of the mysterious deletion of files in a Data Capturing Machine (DCM) and the opening of another DCM at the Commission on Elections office in Talisay City, Negros Occidental.
Marsha Cordero, poll supervisor in Negros Occidental, informed Ressureccion Borra, Comelec commissioner in charge of Western Visayas, about the incident and asked a separate investigation to be conducted by Manila-based Comelec personnel to ensure impartiality.
Talisay Mayor Anthony Lizares said he did not want the elections to be postponed but the Comelec should assure that its back-up list was credible.
