	On Campus 07/25/01--Center for Asian Studies embarks on three-year project to examine transformations brought about by new technologies in Asia
		The pervasive effects of mass media in India and the ways in which popular imagery represents violence were the recent topics for discussion in a three-day conference held at the center.
		UT Austin's Center for Asian Studies turned the spotlight on Asia's mass media this year with conferences and seminars on filmmaking in Taiwan, television in India and Japanese animation.
		Shohini Ghosh of the Mass Communications Research Centre in New Delhi discussed the traumatic and beneficial effects of television broadcasting in India.

		Imagine this, that the universe is a spinning disk, ala Claude's description above, with a velocity of C at the perimeter, and exponentially progressively lesser speeds as we approach the center.
		What makes this whole thing intriguing is that zero mass has the power to then interact with infinite mass, which becomes expressed in the atomic mass of one, ie., zero x infinity = 1.
		It strikes me as being very telling, that we cannot assume that past measurements of light speed, as it regard the relative velocity of light seen by observers moving at different velocities in relation to it, may in fact prove that light is not a universal constant.

	Black Hole Thermodynamics
		Above we mentioned the Black Hole Has No Hair theorem, which states that no matter what falls into a black hole, the only properties that remain are the total mass, charge, and angular momentum of the object.
		We imagine a black hole as the singularity in the center surrounded by a spherical event horizon.We know that when a black hole is created by a collapsing neutron star that the neutrons are crushed out of existence; by this I mean that all their neutronness is wiped out.
		Another way of stating this is that outside of the event horizon all properties of the matter that formed it are gone except for the total mass-energy, rotation, and electric charge: this is sometimes called the Black Hole Has No Hair theorem.
