Mat Stephen's SQL Server WebLog : Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services – Unified Dimensional Model (UDM). Can you get your head round it? If you do BI, you’ll need to!
UDM has five new dimension types, Role Playing, Fact, Reference, Data Mining and Many to many.
I have read and re-read articles that talk about the UDM, some internal, some public, and I’m still trying to get my head all the way round it.
Hence the virtual dimension, as a term, is now gone and concept converted to a real, first class, dimension.

 Fannypack: So Stylistic: Pitchfork Review
The Fannypack concept comes from a couple of DJs-- Matt Goias and "Fancy"-- who got frustrated with the big beats-per-minute gulf between danceable house and slow-loping hip-hop hits, which please crowds but aren't as good for working up a sweat.
Instead, we will review the story-so-far of Fannypack, and then I will explain why I might be mining this little collection for mix-tape fodder pretty heavily over the coming weeks.
But we are not going to talk about "Cameltoe", which turns out to be one of the less interesting tracks on the full-length So Stylistic (most interesting: "Hey Mami", which we'll get to in a second).
