 DVDActive - Reviews - DVD - 4 Films by Lukas Moodysson (UK - R2)
Although all of the actors talk using their character names and seemingly in character, their discussions are with Moodysson himself about what he wants them to do for the movie and from this footage it certainly does not look like any of them enjoyed making this film at all.
We even get a little cameo from Sten Ljunggren, the star of Moodysson’s short film, Talk (which is an extra feature on the first disc, Show Me Love), reprising his role as a lonely middle-aged man searching for companionship.
At times it is difficult to see whether this is actually a really frank documentary about the production or a mockumentary that continues in the same vein as the main feature but it would appear to me to be the former.

 Biography for Bryan Singer
Received a copy of the mockumentary _Forgotten Silver (1995)_ as a gift from director Peter Jackson, to thank him for finishing Ian McKellen's scenes in X-Men (2000) in time for him to fly to New Zealand and begin work on The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001).
Visited the school in October 2000 to talk to the film students about his experiences in the film industry.
Singer attended the 2000 Comic Con in San Diego in a surprise appearance promoting his new movie, X-Men (2000).

DVD Talk > Reviews > It's All Gone Pete Tong
Based upon a true story, "It's All Gone Pete Tong" is a mockumentary focusing on DJ Frankie Wilde (Paul Kaye), who has risen up the ranks to become one of the world's most famous record spinners.
Some think that it's an effect of having to be in the midst of such high volumes so often, but a doctor comes to the conclusion that it was a condition he's had that has gotten progressively worse.
"It's All Gone Pete Tong" doesn't have a whole lot going on besides its core story (the manager and some of the other characters seem a bit stereotypical), but that's enough to carry the interest here.

Fametracker :: The Fame Audit :: Fred Willard
And, yes, we know that Willard starred with Martin Mull in the seminal parody talk show Fernwood 2Nite, which was a little before our time but which we're sure was every bit as funny as everyone says.
Because it is not easy to appear in a Christopher Guest ensemble mockumentary and shine as the funniest person onscreen, and yet Fred Willard's done that three times running.
There is also, apparently, no glory in outshining them either, because Willard was the absolute, runaway, hands-down funniest person in both Best in Show and A Mighty Wind, and yet no one in Hollywood who's not named Christopher Guest seems to have any clue what to do with him.

DVD Talk > Reviews > Incident at Loch Ness
Incident at Loch Ness passes itself off as a documentary, but it's a comedy at heart, a description I could've more quickly encapsulated by slapping it with the 'mockumentary' label, but I hate that word, so instead I opt for rambling grammatical inaccuracies.
Incident at Loch Ness is a double-sided disc, and its extras are spread across each single-layered side.
Supplements: Incident at Loch Ness has a decent number of documented extras, but when you factor in all the hidden stuff...and there's a lot of it...it's an even more impressive disc.

Boy band - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Norwegian movie Get Ready to be Boyzvoiced [2] is a mockumentary about the boyband Boyzvoice, their fans and management.
In a week-long spoof in 1999, talk show host Conan O'Brien, complaining that he couldn't find a decent "musical guest" for his show, created his own boy band, Dudez-A-Plenti, after randomly selecting five out-of-work actors.
The Meaty Cheesy Boys were a fictional band created during an ad campaign for Jack in the Box restaurants.

 PS Wiki Encyclopedia
Boyzvoice first appeared on a late-night Norwegian talk-show in 1999 and the same year they climbed the charts in Norway with their Christmas single "Let Me Be Your Father X-mas".
In Get Ready to be Boyzvoiced, a mockumentary about their lives, first released in 2000, they have to overcome a scandal involving lip-synching over recordings made by session musicians, which results in their being dropped by their record company.
Boyzvoice have these days disbanded and the three actors who appeared as band members - Espen Eckbo (M'Pete), Øyvind Thoen (Hot Tub) and Kaare Daniel Steen (Roar) - are now pursuing other projects.

IMDb user comments for Sleeper (1973)
When one speaks of Woody Allen films, it is common to talk of his `early, funnier films' and his later serious work (although that is beginning to change back recently).
The only other comic director today that could even compare to Allen would be Christopher Guest, whose mockumentary films such as `Best In Show,' and the recent `A Mighty Wind,' have a real source of comedy.
Never a film to be taken seriously, it has all the elements of a cult film, with the exception being that because it's a Woody Allen film, it's been pushed more into the mainstream.

Dame Edna Everage - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In 1979, she was the subject of a BBC Arena mockumentary: "La Dame aux Gladiolas", in which she described Humphries as her "entrepreneur" or manager.
She claims to be the most popular and gifted woman in the world today: investigative journalist, social anthropologist, talk show host, swami, children's book illustrator, spin doctor, icon, housewife, superstar, megastar and more recently, gigastar.
Supposedly born Edna May Beazley, in the small rural town of Wagga Wagga, Dame Edna started her stage career on December 19, 1955, as Mrs Norm Everage, an average Australian housewife from Moonee Ponds, a Melbourne suburb.

Mark has directed his own take on the mockumentary form with Comic Book: The Movie – an improvised comedy about a comic fan (Hamill) who tries to save his beloved childhood icon from the evil clutches of a Hollywood production company who have licensed a heavily revamped version.
We had a chance to talk with Mark about Comic Book, typecasting, and more…
The majority of the action takes place at the San Diego Comic-Con (where the movie was filmed live), and it stars a bevy of voice actors who deserve a share of the spotlight – including Billy West, Jess Harnell, and Jim Cummings.

Robert B. Weide: HBO: Curb Your Enthusiasm
"Curb your Enthusiasm" evolved from a 1999 HBO mockumentary (of the same name) on Larry David's return to stand-up comedy.
Which episodes do people always want to talk to you about?
I can't imagine this is the case on Curb.

DVD Talk > Reviews > The Rutles 2 - Can't Buy Me Lunch > Printer Friendly
The original Rutles special was the first "mockumentary" of its kind, a sometimes dead-on spoof of The Beatles that paved the way for This is Spinal Tap (1984), Forgotten Silver (1995), Waiting for Guffman (1996), and other clever (and not so clever) fake documentaries.
Partly this is because conversations about The Rutles must fall in line with the straight, point-by-point lampoon of Beatlemania, but also because the new interviews are required to match, however vaguely, footage shot a quarter-century earlier.
Conceived and co-directed by Eric Idle, the original Rutles lampooned the ups and downs of The Beatles' careers, from their appearances on The Ed Sullivan Show to their jokey press conferences, their drug use, movies and gradual break-up.

Movie Habit: Review of Stone Reader (2003), ***
I thought I was watching a mockumentary, that there was no such person as Dow Mossman, and that The Stones of Summer was a fictitious red herring, an excuse to talk about books and to give the movie a sense of structure.
He discovered that Mossman was part of an Iowa writers workshop, and he even spoke to several of Mossman's classmates, none of whom remembered him.
In 1972, he picked up a book called The Stones of Summer by Dow Mossman, which, according to a New York Times book review, was supposed to be the defining book of his generation.
