 The Adventures of Nerd Boy - Rants
The different sized eyes (representing a monocle for Dr. Nerd Boy, and a lunatic stare for Dr. Spivak) combined with the quotation mark representing sideburn/hair, appear to be the main symbol for Dr. Nerd Boy.
Dialogue is a great help in my Nerd Boy strips, since people can quite naturally talk about what's occuring around them, implying the meaning of the art around them of or their body language.
If Nerd Boy hadn't been standing next to the drumset in the first two panels, the reader might not understand what's happening when Nerd Boy is sitting behind it.
