That was "This Train," Studs' documentary on the 1963 March on Washington, which, in characteristic Terkel fashion, focused on the group of Chicagoans riding to and from the nation's capital and omitted the orations at the Lincoln Memorial -- including Martin Luther King Jr.'s famous "I Have A Dream" speech.
Studs knocked around at many things -- law studies, acting, a government job or two -- before he figured out that his "little gift" was a part of his essence -- talking with people.
