TAME (Linea Aerea del Ecuador) is an airline based in Quito, Ecuador.
The airline was established and started operations in December 1962 as Transportes Aereos Militares Ecuadorianos (TAME), later Transportes Aereos Mercantiles Ecuadorianos (TAME).
In the summer of 1990 TAME was converted into a separate branch of the air force by constitutional decree.

Having recently flown TAME I found check in courteous and helpful, suitcases are opened for flights to Baltra (Galapagos) in case of food or plants being in them, I flew UIO/GYE/GPS and return, the A320 aircraft was clean, crew very obliging, snack and meal up to airline standard (good).
TAME is the national domestic airline for Ecuador with a few regional flights to Colombia as well.
TAME have free seating which means there is a near riot as people clamber to get on board.

The interior of the aircraft was pretty basic but the seats have pretty good leg room.
