All in all the most important feature of Tangent's first demo is the original sound that the band has created with an impressive ability to change sound styles, remaining retro while still fitting within the modern rock era.
Tangent is a band to watch, and if you are ready to grow, this is a good demo to listen to.
Tangent was always an OK band, but round about April 02 they erupted with talent.

Luxpro appears to have made some changes to the Super Tangent since it was shown at CeBit as the Super Shuffle, but it's still unmistakably an iPod shuffle clone.
Luxpro's Super Tangent -- shown briefly as the Super Shiner -- is a rectangular flash-based MP3 player that comes in 512MB and 1GB capacities and features a USB 2.0 interface.
Under the hood, Luxpro describes the Super Tangent as compatible with MP3, WMA and WAV audio formats, and compatible with Mac OS X v10.0 or higher and Windows 98 SE or later.

Oddly enough, Tangent is as much of a photography magazine as it is a literary, in fact if not by inten- tion.
Tangent, both in this issue and in the fall number, has shown a slight but noticeable improvement over last year, although we missed the author's page this time.

 The Market List: A Resource for Writers of Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror
To appease those who have never heard of Tangent Magazine, why don't you explain what the magazine is like in your own words.
Many of the other magazines reviewed in Tangent are just too new yet to say one way or the other, but I've noticed reviewers being periodically surprised at some of the quality in some of them.
Tangent is a great drain on my meager finances, and it was either pay Mensa dues or SFFWA dues.

Crooning “It’s a Fear Of A Black Tangent, idiot/ A Public Enemy spoof” in his “Yawning Zeitgeist Intro”, Busdriver lays out his cards immediately, as if he were scared about the ramifications this album could have for his cadre of mostly white fans.
Racial tension is thick on this record, as can be assumed, but it points to a different facet than you’d expect.

 MAKE: Blog: Review SUPER TANGENT (iPod Shuffle look-alike)
The musical note is play, FM lets you scan for music- the neat things about it is is actually "speaks" the radio station number in non-robotic english sounding words.
The last option is (the microphone) is for recording, the slider on the side control playback or recording of the voice recorder.
Super Tangent is a few millimeters thicker than the iPod Shuffle.

"Way back in the mid-sixties the BSFA produced the first issue of a magazine called TANGENT which was described in the advertisements as a fiction magazine for or rather featuring "top professional writers and bright newcomers".
Following comments I made to Tom Jones it was suggested that the magazine be resurrected with myself as editor.
This suggestion was put to the BSFA Committee who decided that a trial issue should be produced with a view to producing TANGENT two or three times a year.

 P&E: Opinion
If you're Gordon Van Gelder and you're putting together the next issue of your magazine, you have the dozen or more manuscripts from previous months that you've already told authors that you're taking, plus the new submissions.
He's committed to publishing at least three or so of the manuscripts he's already accepted because authors get fidgety if their stories are under contract but not published for too long of a time.
One of the immediate headaches, I've discovered, is that name authors may be willing to lend their name to a project to sell it, but prying a story out of them afterwards (and a good story at that) will be much harder.

This is a good story, and as a first story, great.
I hope that the impulse-to-genious that got the Buburuz, Resnick, and Stein will be the ruling force of the magazine, in which case this teaser will be a great collectible because it will fill out a collection of a great magazine.

It seemed this paean of 80's and early 90's home computer and console gaming was to be no more, as its publisher, Live Publishing, went into administration.
The likely demise of this magazine is a sad thing indeed to any retro computing enthusiast that was lucky enough to have been aware of its short and wonderful existence.
Let us hope that by some fortuitous twist of fate, the magazine will live on in one form or another.

 The SF Site: Letters to the SF Site
I look forward to reading the review of the stories in the magazine, including my own, and now would be a good chance for me to thank all the little people who helped me along the way.
Pocket Books had a contest for original Star Trek fiction, but the main characters had to be the main characters from the show; this limits the possible stories I could have sent in.
