  Tanzwut - band - discography - live
The medieval-industrial-rockers of TANZWUT are famous for their spectacular live show.
A few surprises were added to the recording of the show of Tanzwut which was already costly and spectacular anyway, for instance the E-TRUMMSCHEITE which were built together with the bass guitar legend Sandberg, were used for the first time.
So you can find all Tanzwut music videos on "Tanzwut -Live" the DVD plus the "making of" from the "Nein, Nein" shooting with Ralf Richter, some live projections and one of the first Tanzwut performances in the year 1998.

 TANZWUT
Tanzwut was definitely one of this year's must see bands along with their other project Corvus Corax.
While Corvux Corax maintain a strict regimen of traditional instruments and sounds, Tanzwut blends the use of the aforementioned traditional instruments with the modern technology of keyboards, samples, loops, electric guitars and modern rock song structure.
The sound is intense to say the least and for many years now has maintained it's status as one of my top five bands of all time.

 Shelby: Concerts - Tanzwut
But on the last day of 2000's festival Tanzwut was scheduled to play on the rock stage and so I finally went.
They were setting up for a band and the speaker announced that they had rearranged the schedule and "Goldfinger", a band from the USA which was supposed to play after Tanzwut would start soon.
Because of the nature of the festival, where everyone is allowed to participate for free, I suspect that there were a lot of people who did not know Tanzwut at all.

Corvus Corax (band) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In 1996 the band released the album Tanzwut which combined the elements of metal music with their brand sound of bagpipes.
The CD turned out to be a commercially rather successful experiment and the band decided to continue the tradition of that album in a separate musical project called Tanzwut, which included Castus Rabensang (german Rabensang = ravensang) and Teufel (german Teufel = Devil) from Corvus Corax as well as four new members.
In 2005 Corvus Corax started the ambitious project "Cantus Buranus": a full-length opera set to the original Carmina Burana manuscript lyrics.

Then, a couple of months ago, I learned to virtually instantly appreciate Tanzwut.
I am not sure if In Extremo's "Sünder ohne Zügel" (meaning "Unbridled Sinner") would have received quite the same review without Tanzwut - which is a bit ironical, after all In Extremo seems to have been the band that started it all with regard to this genre.
Where Tanzwut have evolved in a more dance-like type of music, In Extremo is much more metal with folk influences.
