Tap Mun, an island in eastern Hong Kong.
Tap Mun, or Tap Mun Chau in full name, is one of the islands at the far east of Hong Kong.
The name (in Chinese "Tap" means pagoda and "Mun" means door) was given because of the many large rocks lying along the costal line, emulating many pagodas guarding the water entrance to the Hong Kong territories.

Peng Chau is accessible by a ferry (New World First Ferry) from Central on Hong Kong Island, or by ferries from Mui Wo, Chi Ma Wan and Cheung Chau, or by Kai-to ferries from Discovery Bay on Lantau Island.

Tap Mun, this island is worth visiting as it is an important base for Hong Kong fishing folk.
Kat O Chau or "Crooked Island", a richly green island thick with butterflies, wild flowers and a summer chorus of frogs and cicadas.
Kat O is larger than Tap Mun but it’s a rather sleepy island with an atmosphere reminiscent of ancient China.

Like Cheung Chau, Lantau was once the base for pirates and smugglers, and was one of the bases of Cheung Po Tsai in the 19th century.
Lantau Island, together with Tuen Mun were among the first European trading settlements in the Pearl River area, established by Portuguese traders in the 1510s.
It is located near the town of Tung Chung and is connected to urban areas by the Lantau Link, which is composed of the Kap Shui Mun Bridge, the Ma Wan Viaduct, and the Tsing Ma Bridge.

Junk Bay used to be a usual bay area in Sai Kung, but quite near to the famous seafood village of Lei Yue Mun.

We headed off from the KCR University station to Ma Liu Shiu pier, it took about 75 mins to reach Tap Mun (after serveral stops).
Tap Mun is a beautiful island with good scenary and we were quite surprised how well the island is pathed with clear signs.

Chek Lap Kok was one of the two islands (the other being Lam Chau) merged together via land reclamation techniques into to the 12.48 km² platform for the current Hong Kong International Airport.

And then I wrote an essay about visiting Tap Mun Chau with my cousin, a place that is not on the usual list of tourist destinations.
Now I'm coming up with perimenopausal symptoms and I feel such regret, not only to be passing out of the magical ability to bear children, but to be coming to a time when I won't have this monthly sensitivity.

 Tsing Chau
Tsing Chau or Pillar Island (青洲) was an island in the Kwai Chung area of Hong Kong, sitting on the mouth of Gin Drinker's Bay, by the side of Rambler Channel, opposite to Tsing Yi Island.
In the 1960s, the bay was reclaimed and Tsing Chau became a land extension of Kwai Chung.
