		A warning though - When you have the top totally apart, and all the aluminum plates (3 free floating plates) are unattached, take the frame to your car, put it on the car, and align the plates on top of the frame - as if the top were attached to the car while driving.
		After each major step in the Targa Top rebuild process: #1 install webbing, #2 install canvas, and #3 install vinyl - go back to the car each time and make sure the plates are centered between the top edge of the windshield frame, and the top edge of the targa bar.

	1972 Porsche 911S Targa
		It is all original - paint, interior, top, etc, etc. Most people would have restored it but I prefer leaving it original.
		The original paint is still very bright and shiny but there are some rough spots (rear fenders rubbed on too-large tires, LF fender had some rust, there are hood dings, etc).
		There are a few specs of rust at the top of the rear fenders and left front fender that have not spread at all in the last 15 years (I cleaned it up and primed/painted it when I bought the car).

		FYI to those not intimately familiar with these parts: The rear supports are "left" and "right" for a reason, even though they look identical: There's a very small "notch" on side of each part - very easy to miss - which is to clear the latching hardware in the targa top.
		Installed and used my front holders this weekend at the East Coast Cookout...awesome, so much easier to get the top in w/o fear of snapping the stock hard plastic holders.

		I did some research and found that the washers on top of the windshield frame (seperate from the targa itself) need to be welded back to the car.
		JB weld, super glue, etc. has all been tried by other MKIV owners, with little to no luck, and with the way DC streets are these days, I'm not even going to waste my time with that.
