		Those who know him say “Tariq is a young leader of an independent nature, believes in principled politics and is noted for his dynamism and fortitude.” He, no doubt, enjoyed the confidence of Kesri but did not listen to him when the old man went to Tariq’s house pleading with him to dissociate with Pawar.
		Tariq’s point was that a man of such “dubious” past should not be given charge of the Bihar Congress when the party has to fight a bitter electoral battle.
		Tariq Anwar: He is basically a man of the organisation with ability to carry people with him.
