Many Tarnow Jews fled to the east, while a large influx of refugees from elsewhere in Poland continued to increase the town's Jewish population.
Thereafter, deportations from Tarnow to extermination camps continued sporadically; the Germans deported a group of 2,500 in November 1942.

By the Third Partition of Poland in 1795, Cracow too fell to Austria, whereupon it was considered advisable after the death of the second bishop (1801) to divide the See of Tarnow between Cracow and Przemysl.
By the Peace of Vienna in 1809 Austria was obliged to relinquish western Galicia and with it Cracow, both assigned to the Duchy of Warsaw.
The Diocese of Tarnow thereupon came under Lemberg, whose bishop gave the management of it to the prior of Alt Sandek as his vicar-general.

I don't know anything about Tarnow but I'm fairly certain it is impossible, or nearly, to get a job teaching English in Zakopane unless you went to a high school or something.
I know Tarnow pretty well and really wouldn't recommend it to anyone who doesn't already have a network of friends or family there.
Unlike Silesia, Tarnow is an economically depressed area, that does not have an abundance of native speakers working at private schools.
